I’m not sure how long she was there. I was reading my book. I think she drank from my “critter” water bowl before I looked up. What a gorgeous young doe. I hope she ate some of the corn, seeds, fruits & nuts I am endlessly giving the others.

Pretty cool. I just got to watch the #NorthernFlicker #Woodpecker’s courtship dance!

Video gets better after about 15-20 seconds.

At first I only saw one of the birds & thought it was injured. Then the other kept so low I wondered if it was a young bird. Then it became pretty obvious that it was a mating ritual. Anyway, sorry for my voice over musings.

Draw the rest of the Brewer's Blackbird, I guess.

This is the the third photo of the constantly moving bird. The focus was off in the first; the framing was bad in the second. This one would have been okay, and then the gull walked into the frame as the shutter opened for 1/1600th of a second.
