Last year, the #Interior Dept ordered work to stop on 5 #WindFarms already under construction off the East Coast, but federal #judges struck down all of those moves. The #Pentagon has also sought to halt approvals of wind farms on land.
The agreements with companies to forfeit their offshore leases are a new strategy & represent a “highly unusual” [idiotic] use of #TaxpayersMoney. 7 Democratic-controlled states, including New York, have already sued the #Trump admin over the #Interior Dept’s deal with TotalEnergies.
