A closeup photograph of a cluster of Geranium sylvaticum flowers and buds. The flowers are photographed from behind and their purple/blue tear drop shaped petals have a translucent sheen from the soft, indirect light coming from the other side. Two of the flowers are in quite sharp focus and there are raindrops in a few of the petals. At the base of each flower is a star shaped assembly of green cover leaves. Under the flowers are a couple of yet unopened buds of the same plant. and the slender, hairy, green stalks fade away from focus towards the bottom of the frame. The background is a pleasing, blurry cool green from the surrounding greenery.
