Stand Up

I took this photograph of a Carolina chickadee (Poecile carolinensis) yesterday morning. Noticeably, the bird is standing erect and looking into the window of the bird feeder as if window shopping or maybe just trying find the good stuff. The photo's detail isn't the greatest, but it is interesting.

"In a quiet corner of the backyard, the Carolina Chickadee stands erect on the wooden window frame of its favorite bird feeder. Its black cap and bib lend an air of sophistication, while soft white cheeks add a touch of charm. Gray wings and tail feathers contrast against the white fence beyond. The white fence stands sentinel, creating a serene backdrop for this feathered visitor. Perhaps the chickadee contemplates life’s mysteries: “Why do squirrels always raid the feeder? And why does the neighbor’s cat give me that judgmental look?” A whimsical scene unfolds, where avian curiosity meets suburban tranquility." - Microsoft Copilot with edits
