I was interested in the choice of this example by the court. Part of the anti-feminist and ideologically transphobic movement is to insist on chromosomal determinism, in which a violent struggle for equal rights for women is highly inconvenient. (For clarity, the claim is that women are by nature not violent.)

@cdarwin A different perspective would be that those suffrage trained squads were up against cops who weren’t well trained and were only carrying truncheons. They also were unprepared for resistance from women. If new squads were equipped like modern cops, they might make a difference. I am generally opposed to violence but, since I am convinced there will not be another election in the USA unless there is a violent revolution, might be a good idea to have the new squads ready. Trump and his minions call anybody who doesn’t agree with them terrorists so the labels don’t count anymore. Calling them fascists and Nazis hasn’t made a bit of difference.
