I have a lot of great memories of mom, aka M'dear. She had an infectious laugh that would fill a room until its echoes were bouncing off the walls.
I was very curious as a young child and M'dear would answer my every question with unshakeable confidence.
Even if she was wrong.
A social media ban won't fix online harms.
That's because the business model creating them is left untouched.
It just makes every user do an ID check to prove they’re over 16.
Instead we should tackle the attention capture economy of targeted ads and personalised algorithms.

This non-response is stranger than it looks: Weber defines the state by its exclusive right to use, threaten, and authorize force, and European states are visibly conceding the latter two. That has direct consequences for a movement that pitches open protocols as the path to European sovereignty.
