In comparison, Oslo is slightly north of us, yet their maximum temp is 24°C to-day, with similar figures for the rest of the week. Reykjavik (much further north) has similar temperatures to us, without the rain.
I've often thought of getting a coat for Gruoch. However, I'm not sure she would like it.

@fitheach How about her fur? Is it made for cold temperatures?
We're having the hottest day today (31°), but that's only one day. 24 max tomorrow with night time temperatures dropping to 15. I love living in the North 😃

Gruoch loves the cold. Her kind were bred to sleep outdoors in the mountains of Turkey. She has a double coat, soft hairs underneath and tougher guard hairs on the top. The outer coat is sort of Teflon coated, muck and rain mostly just slips off.

Yeah, I know. My North is not even comparable to yours 😂 But looking at Krefeld with 36°, I am still quite happy to be living in Northern Germany now. At least there is always hope for a little bit of cold at night.
Wasn't it quite warm last summer in your area or am I remembering incorrectly?

The coat wouldn't be for the cold, it would be for the rain. If the rain is light it will bead on the outside of her coat (like with Gore-Tex). When she shakes, that rain comes off. However, persistent heavy rain eventually seeps through her coat.
I'd missed the news that you had moved further north.
We had a brilliant Spring, Summer and Autumn last year. The weather was the best I've ever experienced here. Well remembered. 😃
