@lowqualityfacts Another trick I have seen is to gradually inch forward. I think these are just ways of letting the traffic lights know you are there. Traffic lights are, in fact, sentient beings.

the shortest measurable unit of time is the time between the light turning green and a new york cab driver honking his horn
@lowqualityfacts Red traffic lights will turn green if you move away backwards from the traffic light.
