- If you're human, your spirit can return to the stars in abstract.

- If you're Astrarial, and have done the ascension rites hoping to become a deity, your spirit gets trapped in the Agony Realm.

- If you're witch, you can choose to let your spirit and energy fuse with the nature in which your flesh decays, return to the stars, or infuse your energy into your final spell.

- If you decide to linger, you can become a ghost with Death's permission.

- If your spirit is blocked from rejoining the stars, you can become trapped until an Ethereal deity shows you the way out.

- If you die dreaming, you might be able to hide in the Hypnos Realm.

- If you're an Ethereal deity, your spirit will return to your specific celestial body until you decide to take a corporeal form again.

- If you've pissed off Death, she'll let Entropy take your energy, there will be no trace of you left, and your memory will quickly start to fade.

- If you're Noxian, your spirit is reincarnated when your family has reassured you they can carry on without you.

- If you die in the snow, or on the water, your spirit might wander into the Luminance Realm.

- If you freeze to death, Frost will let you hang out with him in his realm if you so choose. But if the resulting frozen spirit melts, it fuses with the surroundings, and you don't return to the stars.
