@ObsidianUrbex @Moni Inserting a wee bit of detail about the "torpedo shaped containers"...that's where the iron is formed into what were called "pigs"...and it's why iron straight from a smelter was always called "pig iron".
@ObsidianUrbex I think it's something with milk filling or else with liquid.

@ObsidianUrbex I'm with Jef on the guess--a smelter with multiple taps for possibly slag. Tubes for cooling water or similar.
@ObsidianUrbex I don't think I have ever seen one of your photos and NOT wanted to know the story. This is some cool looking tech just left there.

Tubes I think! Some will be for water cooling, the big ring blew in hot air to keep the blast furnace reaction going 馃槉
