@arstechnica Somehow this article tells the reader everything except the most important thing: how to make sure they're updated!

On Windows, go to Windows Security -> Device security -> Secure Boot. If it says "Updated" or "Healthy," you're good.

If not, run Windows updates, and check your computer manufacturer's website for BIOS or UEFI updates.
