@QasimRashid

Yes, I think the thing that scares the extreme right wing in the USA, which is a large percentage of the US population (by European standards), is the possibility that Mamdami might be a roaring success as mayor of New York and thus give the reputations of both Muslims and democratic socialists a huge boost in US public opinion!

@QasimRashid Boost plz

@QasimRashid you need a President for the people. and a Congress too.

@QasimRashid
#Amazon #combustion #vans in England are being replaced by #electric ones, I think as a schedule. I suspect the #London ones are all electric though. I'd think there is no less reason why that would be sensible in #NYC.

@QasimRashid

The ghost of Charles Dickens smiles and nods his approval.

@QasimRashid Hear, hear

@QasimRashid
😂😂😂

@QasimRashid
$9 million for a company the size of Amazon is less than the change you'd find in the sofa cushions on Bezos' yacht.

@QasimRashid Equity at last!

@QasimRashid
Auf deutsch, mit lieben Grüßen an die SPD und an EU-Kommissionspräsidentin von der Leyen!

Thanks JoeWo

Jeff Bezos thinks people are
‘vilifying the rich.’ Bro, you're
one of the richest people
on earth and 1/3 of your
warehouse workers rely on
government assistance for
basic needs like food and rent.
You ARE the villain.

@QasimRashid Great!

@QasimRashid

I wish I could've voted for him. I love this.

@QasimRashid Curiously fining Amazon delivery trucks reminds me of a story I heard about the Stoneman Meadow Riots in Yosmite in 1970. There was a guy - Berkeley grad student as I recall - who was working as a ranger over the summer. At one point the FBI parked cars illegally as part of a crackdown. He grinned and said, "I've never written a ticket before!" and proceeded to ticket the FBI. No idea of how accurate it is, but that is funny.

@QasimRashid Jeff Bezos won’t care much. Since Amazon delivery drivers are "independent contractors” and own their own vans, they'll be the ones who pay the fines. Unfortunately Mamdani is penalizing people who are already heavily exploited.

This might cause Bezos problems IF these drivers are driven out of business and he has to find new ways to cover the last mile. And it'll marginally help traffic flow. But it's not the anti-Amazon masterstroke many will assume it is.

@QasimRashid

The correct reply to “ taxing billionaires is equal to hate speech” is to double the tax every time they open their mouths. We can do this all day until we get to a 90 or 95% marginal tax rate for people like him.

@QasimRashid I hope this is true, of late he has seemed to be trying to suck up to the pedophile class

@QasimRashid

Mamdani is the blueprint for US leaders

@QasimRashid he should have leveraged the late payment penalty also

这回应真是绝了，Mamdani 市长这招太漂亮了，直接用罚款回击 Bezos 的抱怨。希望更多民选官员能这样站在普通人这边。

@QasimRashid Jeff Bezos thinks Mamdani is 'demonizing' billionaires. The guy is one of the richest people on earth and many of his workers rely on government assistance for basic things like food and housing. Bezos is THE demon.

@QasimRashid love it!

@QasimRashid #FAFO

@QasimRashid
Boom.

@QasimRashid

Tax the rich progressively… becoming that rich can only be done by means of the infrastructure and resources available in society of which you are part of. Profiting off that means paying back. It is really that simple.

@QasimRashid

Go Mamdani!

Billionaires don't need anyone to villify them, they've done a good enough job themselves, and we are sick of your shit Bezos!

@QasimRashid #Democrats need to be more like #ZohranMamdani and less like Ken Martin.
