⛪☠️ A creepy old family chapel and crypt, forgotten in the woods. Somewhere in Scotland

An old, moss-covered Gothic crypt with crumbling stone walls stands in a forest. Debris is scattered around its base.

@ObsidianUrbex

Someone didn't "Rest in Peace".

Wonder what happened to the loved ones once interred here...and to those who once honored them. Was it some brutal laird or robber baron industrialist? Or maybe just some lesser 19th century bookish "Darwin" type who spent their life categorizing beetles or mapping the Moon....only to be forgotten when their kids gambled away the family fortune...

Hmmm...there's likely an interesting story buried here... 😜

@ObsidianUrbex

The irony of places of worship and spiritual practice like this is that they appear more holy to me when abandoned.

@ObsidianUrbex are you sure they're not screencaps from a future AC game?

@ObsidianUrbex Oh wow, that looks amazing! What boss fight did you have there?

(Or more seriously, how old is it? Do you know what kind of person had it built? "Family chapel" sounds like nobility?)

@Teskariel
It was built in the middle 1800s, for a wealthy family. They are all in the crypt below ground
