Robert Armstrong (FT) thinks we are entering an age where AI & associated technologies converge on a commodity status, where interoperability between systems will rise & monopoly/oligopoly rents will decrease, leaving AI looking a lot more like a commodity utility (like, for instance, electricity) rather than a high margin service able to extract super-surpluses...
and this is increasingly being costed into share markets - will this see a bust or slow reductions in price?

Armstrong(?) does not seem to have an understanding of how the tech industry works.
Interoperability will most definitely decrease rather than increase. For example code generated by one will not work with another. If it works today, it will fail spectacularly tomorrow ☢️
