Enjoying a teenage hobby I retook in 2019, but now with proper licenses and call signs and more than 40 years older. Improving my CW and teaching others at the #CWAcademy and enjoying SOTA and QRP, and sometimes satellites. I love the 4 m band when it's open — not much done recently; 6 m is great too! PMR446 as a gateway to ham radio. Proprietary digital modes (DMR, YSF, ROS, VARAC, LoRa...) are not proper ham radio (ask me why).

Hi, I’m Erik! Licensed 2021. FN13, NY. Trying different things mostly on HF, but have an HT. Aspiring home brewer, accomplishments so far a pixie, a Michigan mighty mite, 2 wire antennas, and 2 handheld Yagis.
I like linux, radio (ham and broadcasting), and all kinds of science and technology.
Linux: using Hyprland / Arch on my "daily driver" computer. I also maintain a Nextcloud server (Debian) and fool around with Raspberry Pi's.
