Ok, I think pretty good news here?
I removed the main board. FIrst off, it's just friggin' gigantic. I ran out of bananas yesterday, sadly, so I can't demonstrate the scale in standard Internet units.
Also, the back of it looks as good or better than the front - so nothing scary hiding where I wasn't able to see before now. I don't see any leaky caps or related damage anywhere.
I'll touch on the battery area in the next posts.
