Archaeologists from Mexico’s National Institute of Anthropology and History (INAH) have documented 179 pre-Hispanic objects inside a difficult-to-reach cave in the La Venta River canyon, in what the institute describes as one of the most significant archaeological discoveries made in the region in recent decades.
