#PennedPossibilities 1085 — What is special about your world or universe?
The Ethereal Realm is much like the middle of a Venn diagram. It's the overlap of countless different planes, all representing a building block for reality. It is the convergence of light, dark, despair, hope, fire, entropy, freezing, memory, breath, life, time, water etc. Which were all experiments created by the Ethereal deities in a quest to find a self-sustaining reality. It came into existence entirely accidentally, like remnant scraps of paper and paint in an art class. It is an unintended stage for the poetic entropy that is life. And when these deities messed around with it, they unintentionally stumbled into a corporeal form. Learning to be alive has distracted many from maintaining the crucial balance Ethereal needs to exist. So, everything is a little broken, a little unstable, and dangerously behind on maintenance. Dealing with that for many generations in their stead, has given some folks the ability to change, correct, play with, or even weaponize the ever shifting interplay that makes up reality.
