While I wasn't paying attention, my chilli plants are doing odd things! 🌶️

One fruit is green and finger-sized, but all the others are tiny and black. Any idea why they're growing so differently?

I got these seeds in a swap from a friend in Germany. The envelope was labelled “Buschpfeffer”.

The plant has green leaves and purple-tinged stems, with a blurred garden background and a bamboo stake visible behind the peppers. Foto by Ronja Biernat

@RonjaBiernat Are there purple streaks on the stem of the big pod, that we can’t see in the photo? If yes, this is a pollination difference. If no, this is something weird.

@RonjaBiernat wait til they grow bigger and get normal green -if not something is wrong -but for now it looks like mine last year and the peppers grew fine -my lemon tree grows same color new leaves and fruits later they turn all green and the fruits yellow -so let them grow and watch @gardening

Boosted and commented because I'm looking forward to seeing the solution of this pepper mystery.
