The Breskens lighthouse is the oldest surviving cast-iron lighthouse in the Netherlands. The shaft is painted with black and white bands. It stands prominently on the left side of the horizon line, where the land meets the sea.

An asphalt dike path dominates the lower half of the frame, leading the viewer's eye directly toward the lighthouse. A solid blue painted line runs down the left-middle side of the path.

To the right of the path, the terrain transitions into a wide, sandy beach. Lemon Light

An overcast day in early November, and lake Mývatn is only slightly ruffled by the breeze.

It's nearly 13:00, and the sun is at an altitude of about 10° in the south; from our viewpoint, almost exactly behind the mountain.

The result from this band of clear sky below the cloud was a lovely reflection.
