The #House #GOP plan would be a short-term funding extension, providing money for the full department for 8 weeks, one source said.

#Hegseth had been pressing snr #Army leaders, including Army Sec Daniel Driscoll, for months to remove the officers’ names, #military ofcls said. But Driscoll, citing the officers’ decades-long records of exemplary service, repeatedly refused.
Earlier this month, Hegseth unilaterally struck the officers’ names from the list, though it is not clear he has the #legal #authority to do so. The list is currently being reviewed by the WH, which is expected to send it to the #Senate for final approval.
